Worship and Creation

Today, Brad talked about Creation. I don’t want to say too much about so that he can post something about that if he wants. We talked and sang about creation today, but while I was leading worship, I realized that the service might end, people will go home, all the sound will be packed – but worship continues.
We talked about how all of creation sings the praises of God. The Heavens declare his glory. The whole earth is filled with it. We talked about how even if no one praises God that the rocks would cry out – the rocks – cry out the praises of His glory.
It was such an overwhelming thought to me that throughout this beautiful day that we had in San Diego – that although the worship service was over and football was on – that somehow through it all – even as we just walked around in creation – that worship could and would continue, even if I wasn’t worshipping. That’s very humbling to me.
I pray that you guys have a great week. I pray that you guys would sing the songs that we have sung today in church, but more importanty, I pray that you learn to hear and sing the praises that the rocks and the heavens cry out.

Agreed! I was sharing with the 1st-5th graders about how we get to worship God with all of creation. I took them outside and had them be quiet, yes they actually stayed quiet. They got to hear the birds singing, we were able to see the mountains surrounding and talked about the waves crashing. Our God is Awesome and BIG! He is Mighty to save! Let us continue to worship God with all His creation!
